Trebinje "Tребиње", German formerly Trebing, is located in the southeastern tip of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is very close to the border with Montenegro and Croatia. Trebinje belongs to the entity Republika Srpska and is located in the historical region of Herzegovina on the Trebišnjica River, which flows into the Adriatic Sea in about 25 km. It is therefore considered an outpost to the Adriatic Sea. After Mostar, Trebinje is the second largest city in the region.
